Jordan Brooklyn

I’ve been wearing Nike & Jordan products for over a decade now for sports and so has my man so I was pretty excited to be selected to test this Jordan Brooklyn Men’s Soccer Shirt. To start - it’s got a breathable mesh fabric that makes up the top with a slim fit that hugs the torso without being either too tight or too baggy. It dries remarkable fast when exposed to sweat which is one of the best things about it! The black is classic and matches even the brightest and weirdest patterned shorts he has while still looking polished and professional. All in all, it’s an excellent shirt with a very premium feel - perfect for those looking for performance and longevity in their sports clothing.

This shirt is extremely breathable and overall looks sharp, whether dressed up a bit with slacks or casual with shorts. It's lightweight, true to size, and easy to style. Pretty typical Jordan apparel. Could be a regular go-to from the closet. However, the fabric is also extremely thin. Even in black, the shirt is somewhat sheer. I guess you can wear an undershirt if concerned, but it may not be the best fit for everyone, especially guys with bigger chests. The material is comfortable, but it's certainly not the softest polo I've ever had. I may wear this occasionally, but I doubt it will become a favorite.

There are so many strange things happening with this shirt I didn’t even realize it was a Nike/Jordan collaboration. The sizing is not what you’d expect from a soccer fit. The shirt is sized for a large basketball frame not a typical soccer athletic body frame. It’s oversized and wide which follows all the way through to the hip. The collar is flimsy and has this permanent v-neck opening which may be the cause of this problem. The shirt doesn’t lay well on the chest along the neckline which makes the clavicles look bowed out. It’s honestly strange to see. The fabric quality is low quality. It’s polyester which most brands have renamed “performance” for its wicking capabilities. From an athlete’s perspective, it just traps heat and sticks to your body in the most uncomfortable way and in this circumstance, it does exactly this. Unfortunately, I would have to not recommend this shirt to anyone. It’s such an unpractical designs and shirts to wear for soccer let alone anything athletic. I do not expect anyone to be surprised given its branded Jordan.
