Plastic Sole?

I like the shoes except I noticed when I walk that it sounds like I'm wearing ta shoes or the bottom of the shoes was plastic.

These are really lovely made, and a beautiful colour. I think they would be a lot more comfortable if I ordered a 5 instead of a 4.5 as they come up very snug
