Excellent Comfort on a Short Winter Run

I've only worn them once so far, but they felt great for me. I wear a size 11 shoe and got the large, no show version. Large is supposed to run to size 12. I imagine they might be a bit tight for somebody with wide feet who wears 12, but I can't be sure. I like tight socks that give support, so they were excellent for me. At no point did they ever feel like they were going to fall. I ran 3 miles in the winter at 20 degrees F in them. The upper on my shoes are thin and tend to let water in during the winter. I ran through a stretch of snow in these socks. Normally, I'd feel my feet get wet. This time, I didn't. Were the socks thick enough to protect me, or did I just happen to magically avoid getting snow atop my shoe this time? I can't be sure, but they are thick. I did have to wear my shoes slightly looser than normal which was not a problem at all. I bought 8 pairs of these socks as I found them at a great discount. For now, I think that I made an excellent purchase based on the price I paid. However, I don't yet know how durable they are or how they will feel when running in the heat of the summer.
