The heel is soft & Great Bounce after each step. I only run these on a blacktop, asphalt & cement sidewalk in my neighborhood, because I wanted the white pair I do not dare run these near the dirt, these outdoor style running shoes are definitely worth your buck!

This shoe is a nice, low-priced option for folks who want a really good looking, light trainer for tempo and speed work - and potentially race day for up to 5K (maybe 10K max). OR... a comfy, stylish shoe for casual wear. I bought a pair on sale to compliment my high-mile trainer and I didn't want to drop $200+ on the vaporfly. I'm very satisfied and I've gotten a ton of compliments on them already.
