Nike Phantom 6 High Elite

I was definitely wowed by the cleats when I first opened the box. These are by far the sleekest pair of shoes I've ever owned, smooth and well made, with not even a stitching out of place. Love the look of the hidden laces underneath too, though the shoes conformed well enough to my feet that I didn't really need them. My biggest gripe with these shoes is how narrow they are. It was somewhat annoying to squeeze into them, but this is an issue I've had with several other cleats. Once on, they feel fantastic, with just enough padding on the heel and nice enough cushioning underneath. The collar provided decent support as well, though I had to stretch them a bit to get my foot in. What I would perhaps change in the future is to have some way to tighten the collar with a thin piece of velcro or something as I feel like the collar will inevitably loosen up over time as I stretch it to put on the shoes. But definitely not a deal breaker for me. Overall, the feel and design of the cleats are enough to overcome the few shortcomings and I look forward to playing in these for a long time!

As someone who has played soccer for over two decades, I've come to appreciate the feel and fit of Nike cleats. I recently got the new Phantom 6 High Elite FG, and while they had a couple of initial hurdles, the performance on the field was outstanding. It was also a pleasant surprise to see many players in the Premier League, including some of my favorite team, Manchester City, wearing them, which made me feel like I'd chosen a top-tier shoe. ​Right out of the box, the cleats were a little difficult to get on. The design makes it hard to loosen the laces, which required some extra effort to work my foot in. Once I did, though, the shoe wrapped around my foot in a wonderfully snug and secure way. Tying the laces was also a bit of a challenge due to the design, but the tight fit was worth it. ​I'm used to having to "break in" new cleats, often switching them out at halftime to avoid discomfort. With this pair, however, I was shocked to find they felt like old favorites after just one half. I didn't need to take them off at all—they were comfortable and felt fully broken in from the start. ​On the field, the cleats provided excellent grip on the grass. I felt completely stable with every step. When I took a few shots, the grooves on the cleats' upper part allowed me to put some serious spin on the ball, which was a great bonus. As if the performance wasn't enough, I received several compliments on their look, which honestly made me feel even more confident during the game. ​Overall, despite the initial struggle getting them on and tied, these cleats are a winner. The comfort, grip, and ball control they offer from the very first wear make them a top-tier choice.

Once I managed to get these cleats on they were great. They are light-weight with a breathable fabric top and a flexible bottom for ultimate comfort. I love the vibrant orange color. These cleats run true to size. They give a good grip for running on turf. Only downside is that they have a solid piece of elastic around the ankles and covering the laces. So they are difficult to get on and lace up. I am hoping they will stretch out and get easier to put on after a couple more weeks of wear.
