Super comfy and bold style, but the sizing is awkward

I picked these up in the University Red colorway, and the aesthetic is absolutely crisp. The single-tone crimson looks incredibly vibrant and looks great paired with high crew socks for a sharp, non-basic athletic vibe. However, the sizing process on these is frustrating. Nike really needs to start making half sizes in slides. My normal Nike slide size is an 11 and fits me completely exact. Because the Calm 2.0 has a tight, non-stretch strap and a molded rim, I had to jump a full size up to a 12 so my heel wouldn't stomp on the back edge. Even though the 12 technically fits well, it still has a slightly weird sizing to it, it can look a little too big and loose, meaning it doesn’t always give my feet that tight, perfect, neat look I want. Design-wise, these sit much lower and flatter to the ground compared to older Nike models. I definitely prefer the higher stance of the old ones, but the updated foam on these is undeniably comfortable for walking around. If you have slightly wider feet, size up to get the footbed room, but expect a slightly bulkier silhouette than your normal slides.
