My child typically wears an extra small or small and these pants in a small were enormous - like up to his neck enormous.
That said, the quality of the denim seems superior. It is soft, flexible, and comfortable yet thick and feels durable.
I cannot attest to their feel and versatility while being worn because they are unwearable with how big they are, but I suspect they would be just fine for all day and across a multitude of casual activities.
