The Air Max 90 has always been one of our favorite Nike silhouettes, and this updated Mesh Lace version did not disappoint. Right out of the box, Ace commented on how comfortable they felt, and that remained true throughout wear.
We absolutely love the Black/Turf Orange colorway. The bright orange accents pop against the black upper and give the shoe a clean, sporty look that works equally well for school, play, and everyday wear.
Our favorite feature is easily the mesh lace update at the toe box. The mesh material provides an extra level of breathability that helps keep little feet comfortable throughout the day. Just as importantly, because of the flexible mesh construction, the toe box doesn’t develop the typical crease marks often seen on more traditional materials. The result is a shoe that not only feels great but also maintains a cleaner appearance over time.
Nike did a great job modernizing a classic silhouette without changing what makes the Air Max 90 special. The updated materials enhance both comfort and wearability while preserving the iconic look that has made this model a favorite for decades.
Overall, this is a stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated version of a classic that Ace loved wearing throughout the test period.
