Nike Streakfly 2

Super lightweight and very bouncy race day shoe. The materials are very light and feel very comfortable and nice on foot. The breathability is also very good and is not lacking. The bounce and propulsion in each step is very noticeable while running and will easily maximize PR times. Sizing was true to size, but if you have a wide foot you may want to try them on to get proper sizing for your perfect fit. I had a lot of fun running in these and would definitely recommend as a go-to race day shoe!

The Nike Streakfly 2 are light as air and built for effortless speed. At 6'2" 205 lbs with moderately flat feet, the shoes handled my stride with plenty of energy return. They run true to size and felt ready for racing right out of the box. The mesh upper is very breathable and feels durable, but in the sole is where the magic happens. The propulsive carbon fiber Flyplate is a game changer - it feels like always running in a tailwind. The ZoomX midsole provides a responsive ride that is comfortable throughout 5K and 10K runs. This combination of technologies and lightweight materials makes every run feel rewarding. I like the grey and navy blue design, though I would like to see more vibrant colorways for those looking to stand out on race day. My only concern is regarding durability. After only a couple of runs, the foam areas of the soles are peeling and showing moderate wear. My favorite feature of these shoes is the form factor. Their shape, along with the carbon fiber Flyplate inside, make running feel so natural. It's unlike anything I've ever felt. Fit is a little awkward as I have one wide foot and one high arch. On the wide foot it feels like one wrong step will make my foot fall out or the shoe. The high arch foot is just fine. The shoes are very light which took me a minute to get used to. I felt as if I was going to slip out of them, but no, it stayed put! Another thing is the shoe laces are not that long, which I don’t like. It made it hard to tie the shoe on the wide foot. I tested a jog and fast walking and there was a lot of cushion. Almost too much! I don’t like the design of the tongue; it feels a little flimsy and does not stay put. It’s a bit of a struggle when putting on the shoe. I do like how the rest of the shoe looks. Overall they look cool. The fabric was too thin for my liking. I understand it is a racing shoe, but it’s just too thin. I also don’t like feeling a breeze every time I take a step. Overall, I like the sleek look. I would add more thickness to the frame of the shoe so it doesn’t give the feeling of falling out of them.
