G.T. Hustle Academy

Super comfortable shoes, what I loved about them was that they feel light. They don’t get you tired quick cause of the comfort it has in the sole, it feels like you’re walking on cushion. The fabric is magnificent, is breathable. Which doesn’t make your feet sweat and makes it feel more comfortable. I would definitely recommend these shoes because they’re really comfortable and easy to wear.

The G.T. Hustle Academy are a solid pair of sneakers from Nike! The fit is maybe too true to size; it has a very 1 to 1, “fit like a glove” fit if you go with your true size. I personally would prefer a slightly roomier fit around my toes. The design is pretty simple. The tongue and areas around the ankle are plush and they really maintain containment. As a takedown model, the cushioning felt like it left a lot to be desired. The outsole is holding up so far from outdoor use, which is a plus. A couple favorite things with these are that its upper is Flyknit, and their fit, as my feet felt really contained throughout my time wearing them.

The Nike GT Hustle Academy is a takedown model in the GT ( Greater Than) lineup that gives you a more affordable and widely available alternative to the best of the best when it comes to Nike’s performance sneaker line. I play basketball outside at a park near my house pretty often and I was excited to give the GT Hustle Academy shoes a try when I received them. The high traction pattern that the shoes offer held up well on a lot of linear movements such as driving to the basket, but not so much on lateral movements such as attempting to get around screens or shuffling/sliding on defense. Overall the traction felt as if it wasn’t always gripping the court very well causing me to slip slightly a few times. The high cut cushioning didn’t feel very responsive and it didn’t provide much support while playing on an outdoor court. The fly knit material on the used on the upper parts of the shoe feels very comfortable and breathable and it breaks in very easily allowing you to move more freely with further use. The shoes fit very snug in both the toe box of the shoe and the ankle area of them giving you a more secure feeling for those looking for an affordable shoe that has great ankle support. The GT Hustle Academy also has a great drop in the mid sole of the shoe creating a more low to the ground feeling for players who could benefit from that positioning based on their play style. All in all, if you’re looking for a good, affordable basketball shoe you can’t go wrong with the GT Hustle Academy.
