Re-Creation is back in Paris and this time with Starcow
Introducing Starcow
For this new collaboration, we worked with Starcow Paris to design and bring to life an exclusive collection available at their pop-up store.
The goal? Create unique pieces inspired by the store energy with a 100% recycled line.
Starcow is pioneering when it comes to streetwear in France, and one of the first stores to mix skateboarding and Hip Hop culture. For more than 25 years, all the generations of Parisian sneaker lovers have been to the store to find their pairs and meet the community.
Behind the Design
With the Re-Creation program, we believe in inspiring and changing behaviours. We want to change perception and that tendency to devalue old apparel. With this program, we're showing new ways of adding that value back into the garments and also providing workshops along the way to help inspire people in a creative space.
The theme of this collection is mainly "Utility". With sourced products from Starcow’ DNA such as some camo and some Gore-tex, as well as up-cycling pieces, including ACG or moletons from Nike.
“To make this collection, we used Nike pieces that we preferred, in the current collection and deadstock from Nike. For me, this project represents the opportunity to work with products that we master, that we know really well, items that we sell all year round. If you look at every style from this collection, it could easily be a new Nike lifestyle or ACG style.”
