Does the job

Overall Comfort These sneakers deliver a solid comfort level for dry‑terrain trail running. The midsole offers responsive cushioning and smooth transitions, making them agreeable for moderate mileage. Breathability feels reasonable for a GORE‑TEX setup, but the waterproofing membrane may limit airflow in warmer conditions. Waterproof Construction (Unverified in Practice) While I haven’t tested them in wet conditions, the GORE‑TEX lining appears genuine and should keep water out effectively. Time will tell how stiff or breathable they feel when soaked, but the design matches expectations for waterproof trail use. Fit & Heel Lockdown Issues Fit is the main drawback: heel slippage emerges as a recurring notice. Even with snug lacing, the heel can shift—especially on downhill terrain. The upper might benefit from improved internal padding or structural reinforcements to better lock your heel in place. Sizing Recommendation Based on the snug heel and midfoot, going a half size up is strongly advised. That adjustment helps reduce slippage and adds a bit more volume where it’s needed, improving overall fit without compromising performance. Bottom Line Not a bad shoe by any means—it provides decent trail cushioning and potential waterproof protection. But it’s not without flaws. If you’re considering these, size up half a size and be aware that heel security is a weak spot. Ideal for those who need weather protection but don’t mind tweaking fit for better stability.
Long and narrow.

These are long and too narrow. It was very tight over the instep and sole.
