Im a fan of the Nike Vapor 11 hard court shoes, I was disappointed to find they were no longer available in 2025. Naturally, I transitioned to the Vapor 12 in the same size, expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately, the fit was dramatically different. While the Vapor 12 is clearly a well-constructed, performance-oriented shoe, it caused persistent foot aches during every session for me. The shape and feel diverge significantly from the Vapor 11, and despite multiple attempts to break them in, the discomfort remained. For players who loved the precise, glove-like fit of the Vapor 11, the Vapor 12 may not deliver the same ride. It’s a solid shoe on paper, but for me, the change in fit was a deal-breaker — making it difficult to give it a fair overall rating.

Clay ready
Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less build-up on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. We used traction maps, pressure maps and analysed clay build-up areas for the design. Then, we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).
Lighter load
The herringbone traction pattern is made from our new rubber compound that's lighter than Vapors of the past. We brought back the firm midfoot plastic piece seen on past Vapors to provide optimal stability and transitions when cutting from side to side. The supportive piece also allowed us to remove the rubber in the midfoot, which helps reduce the overall weight of the shoe.
Transfer the power
A firm foot frame wraps around the supportive midfoot plate and spans from heel to toe, giving you more of a secure feel. It helps give you the stability to transfer power during aggressive slides, cuts and pivots.
Lightweight upper
We reduced the weight of the engineered mesh while maintaining durability in high-wear zones by the toe.

- The full midfoot fit band allows you to pull the laces tighter to enhance the fit and enable faster cuts.
- The midsole foam in between the plastic and rubber, which wasn't on the Vapor 11, helps keep you light on your feet.

Cómodas, ligeras y con un buen sistema de ajuste. Me gusta más que las anteriores. Llevaban el sistema de ir quilla y terminaban o rompiéndose o no ajustaban bien.
