Supreme bounce plus flexibility comes with stability tradeoffs

If you want a shoe with supreme bounce while maintaining a down-to-earth stack height, then these are the ones. Air Zoom and ZoomX provide crazy bounce, especially on the midfoot, while maintaining a stack height that is suprisingly close to an everyday trainer. The shoe bends generously, thanks to the shorter stack height and the narrow outsole. This allows easier midfoot and forefoot striking. The tradeoff you make is side-to-side stability. ZoomX is not the most stable foam and the shoe is relatively flexible. The narrow outsole also limits stability. If you heel strike in these, you will need well-trained stabiliser muscles to stop your ankle rolling. Because of the limited stability, I would recommend these specifically for running on concrete, asphalt, or well-maintained pavement. I would also recommend them specifically for midfoot or forefoot striking. But what I love about these is that the level of bounce is truly insane and they manage to be amazing running shoes that also look really, really nice.
