Nike Sportswear City Utility

My daughter felt so cool in these. The elevated look and material on these shorts tied with her other Nike swag had her feeling herself! She loved that they weren't regular shorts but her "fancy" shorts that she can also play outside in. They were comfortable for her and a light material that allowed her to run around, roll around, and look cool. My only suggestion would be making a "shorter" version of the shorts since kids come in all heights and my daughter is on the shorter end BUT this is really just a nitpick at something that doesn't really need to picked on.

The Nike City Utility Shorts will be a good staple for me this summer. The color and material are compatible with almost anything. The black with small orange and reflective accents give them a bit of character while also allowing it to be worn with any other color or material. There is mixed material which also adds to the characteristics of the shorts which take it a step above average. The body of the shorts is almost like a soft scuba material while the front pockets and top of rear are a woven material. The woven material adds a bit of reinforcement making the shorts strong. There are two side pockets and two front pockets under the flaps. There are no back pockets. The fit is great for me. They are slightly loose in the leg while the elastic waist band grips to the body. They sit above the knee which is on par with current style trends. I am 5'5" 118lb and got an XL. The soft scuba material holds outdoor scent in my opinion so that's just something I have to keep in mind.

I was impressed with these shorts. Most kids shorts are very thin mesh. I was surprised how heavyweight they where. The main material feels similar to nike tech fleece which is a really nice quality. The mix of materials makes the shorts unique. And it is always good to have pockets. The side pockets and front velcro pockets will be a big hit since my son always wants to bring toys with him. Big fan of the black on black color scheme with a pop of orange. The design is simple but looks very premium. While they are athletic I think they can be worn with nicer clothes. Dark colors are the best for kids clothes because they don't get dirty as easy. While the shorts feel very heavyweight and premium, they aren't very breathable. And while my son likes the shorts he won't like them for going to the park or doing anything active.
