Lined Running Shorts

Built for distraction-free miles

Our lined running shorts help you move with focus from warm-up to cool-down. The built-in layer gives light support, so you can run without adding extra kit underneath. For an underwear-like feel, browse our supportive brief-lined styles. They provide the comfort you need to power through your chosen distance. For an inner brief with more coverage, take a look at our two-in-one running shorts.

Find your ideal fit

The right pair of lined running shorts for you comes down to how you like to move. Our brief-lined running shorts provide targeted support for a minimal finish. Meanwhile, our 2-in-1 shorts offer a full inner layer that provides extra coverage and an all-over compressive feel. Shorter inseams deliver a light and unrestricted effect, while longer cuts give more protection for outdoor routes, travel days and gym-to-street wear. Look out for adjustable waistbands, split hems and smooth seams. They ensure the secure hold you want without restricting your movement.

Power through your chosen distance

Whether you're tackling your first 5K, honing your track skills or training for a tough challenge—our lined running shorts are made to work as hard as you do. For explosive sprints and warm conditions, we have short pairs that provide a barely-there feel. If you'd like a pair with a little more coverage, check out our mid-thigh and knee-length designs. Heading out for an off-grid adventure? We have specialist trail-running lined shorts for lasting comfort. They're built with plenty of practical pockets so you can keep your phone, keys and snacks handy as you explore the Great Outdoors.

Keep your cool when the work rate rises

As the session gets tough, your shorts should help you stay comfortable. For lasting freshness, choose lined shorts for running made with our Dri-FIT technology. It uses engineered fibres to actively draw moisture away from your skin. Then they move the dampness to the surface so it can evaporate fast. Plus, breathable properties in the material promote good airflow so you can shed excess heat quickly. Look out out for pairs featuring our Nike Dri-FIT ADV. A combination of sweat-wicking materials and advanced breathability deliver our most effective cooling performance.

Comfort beyond the run

Our lined shorts for running also slot easily into everyday movement. Pull them on for mobility work, light training or active off-duty days. We make them in a choice of high-waisted and mid-rise options to help you find the fit that feels right. Keep an eye out for deep elastic bands for a no-roll wear, and adjustable drawcords to hold everything in place. When it comes to colourways, we have practical black and grey pairs alongside colour-pop brights for added standout.

Frequently Asked Questions about Lined Running Shorts

What are lined running shorts?

Lined running shorts are running shorts with an integrated inner layer. Our range includes pairs with brief-style liners as well as longer compression-style options. The liner helps provide targeted support while the outer short keeps the feel lightweight. They are useful for daily runs, faster sessions, trail routes and training when you want one simple, ready-to-move layer.

Are lined shorts better for running?

Lined shorts can be a strong choice for runners because the built-in liner means there's no need for separate underwear. They're designed to move with your stride, and feature chafe-free seams for extra comfort over longer distances. You'll also find moisture-wicking materials to manage sweat and keep distractions low.
