The Vaporfly 4 is a mile-eating machine that just got lighter. We trimmed weight with a carbon fiber Flyplate and ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole to give you race-day speed without sacrificing performance. The result is a fine-tuned racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.

Full Speed

The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and combines with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.

Lighter Foam

Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.

Less Weight

Engineered mesh on the upper offers improved lightweight comfort while supplying a more consistent fit. We reduced the size of the heel and tongue to save even more weight.

Light Feel

The midsole bulge at the heel helps reduce weight on the inside of the foot and give you a more stable ride. We also used a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3 to reduce outsole weight without sacrificing reliability.

We took a race car approach when updating the Vaporfly 4, making minor tweaks so you can enjoy major gains. We trimmed inessential weight in the upper, midsole and outsole without sacrificing performance.

Love the look. IMO better than the streakflys. They feel more durable than them for sure. Only issue is they fit so tight around the toe box. I’m going to have to return & get 10.5. Other than that love the feel/look.

The lab-tested and runner-validated, curved, full-length carbon-fibre Flyplate delivers a propulsive feel and unlocks more leverage from the foot and ankle.
The blown rubber outsole delivers a dynamic combination of traction, durability and cushioning. The softer material compresses to conform to the road for elevated traction and a smooth transition.
The engineered mesh upper increases comfort and fit consistency, while contributing to the overall weight savings of the shoe.
