After reading previous reviews and recommendations to size up, I agree. There is no stretch in the pants. They’re more for tall & slim people as they’re tight around the thighs but long. For reference I am 5’4 160lbs and ordered size L typically a M
Inaccurate Sizing

These pants run large. The actual waist circumference of a small is 31 inches. This is well outside of what Nike says the range is for a small (26-29inches). If you are looking for an oversized fit then ordering your normal size may work for you. If you want more of a standard fit I would size down. These pants also run long. I am 5ft 5inches tall and when trying these pants on without shoes, about 1.5-2inches at the bottom pooled onto the floor. They are slightly better with shoes on, but they still drag on the ground a bit. If you are under 5ft 7inches you will likely have to get the pants hemmed or wear platform shoes with them. Personally, I do not mind the canvas-like material. It has a smooth, slightly weighted feel to it. I find the pants comfortable besides the fact that they are way too large on me. I will likely be returning these pants instead of exchanging because none of the three employees I spoke to at Nike could tell me the actual waist circumference of an XS or any other size in these pants. The only information they would provide is their general size chart, which these pants, as stated above, fall outside of (at least in a small). Since the measurement of a small is inaccurate I would assume that the measurement of all the sizes is inaccurate. It would be helpful if Nike could provide the actual measurement of these pants or a size chart that accurately reflects the measurements of those that these pants would fit. If the sizing was accurate or the Nike employees provided helpful information I would likely exchange these pants instead of returning them because I do like the look and material.
