The ReactX foam is engineered to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles, due to reduced manufacturing process energy compared with prior React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on cradle-to-gate assessment reviewed by PRé Sustainability B.V. and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations were not considered.

About 20 miles in and really like these shoes. Great responsiveness in the forefoot and through the midsole. More springy than cushiony. Like so many Nike running shoes, I wish they were 2-3mm wider across the ball of the foot like the Pegasus Plus/Turbo. Sole seems like it is durable and will wear well. A touch too heavy to be a race shoe, but i think they’re meant to be more of a lifestyle/running shoe. I like having it in the quiver but the width will keep it from being my daily go-to shoes.
