Nike Air Max Dn Roam

Overall, these are great shoes that are all weather. The fit is a little snug in the toe box, but I did appreciate the extra cushion on the heel so they don’t cause blisters. In terms of how these hold up, the outside material is water repellant which is great since they can be all weather. The traction is really nice on the bottom too, not slippery at all which makes it good for walking the dog in the rain or snow! With that, since the shoes are taller, my feet stay dry when it’s wet out and I need to run errands. In terms of design, the monochrome appearance is super cute, but the Nike swoosh feels really bright and sticks out so if you don’t want a ton of design, just note that. However, the zipper makes them easy to throw on when I’m in a hurry which makes them the perfect shoe to run errands in. Overall though, these are quality and comfy shoes.

As the second Air Max Shoe in my collection I will say this is a great shoe and in comparison to the Dn8, slightly better. I prefer this design better in terms of aesthetic, the zipper covering the pull tabs and the reflective logos are nice touches. Not counting soccer cleats these are my first daily shoes that I use with a zipper and for me it felt kind of odd getting used to. The black and white choices allow them to go well with basically anything aesthetic wise and perfect for my liking but I would understand if some people would like some color on them. Functionally, I think they are great as they are extremely comfortable with cushioning bubbles it has and the sole feels like it would do well in most terrains. Again in comparison to the AM Dn8 I believe that these are better because those red circles are felt less in every step since it doesn’t run from front to back. After that first time you put them on and adjust them to your desired tightness they can be considered a slip-on and wont cause any pain after long use. In my mind these would probably be good shoes for people who are standing up for long periods of time, say for example nurses or waiters. The materials feel very premium and knowing the fact that it can protect you from the rain is a nice addition. Sadly it hasn’t rained that much more than light rain a couple of times to fully test out its limits but I’m sure it would protect sufficiently enough. I don’t know how well it compares to for example the Gore-tex shoes I have (Jordan 1s) but if it does at least half of that I am content with them. As a shoe that is very comfortable, light, adds a bit of height, and can protect you against the weather I would definitely recommend these shoes. A shoe that is definitely perfect for the fall and maybe even winter to keep in your rotation.
