These shorts are really well made. The fabric is really thick and feels like the shorts will be very durable. The fit is a little snug but everything is made from stretch material so they’re still really comfortable. The length is perfect for an above the knee look, but not so short that they make me uncomfortable. I love that these can look casual with an untucked t-shirt, but you can also dress them up too. They have belt loops and waist closures like a pair of slacks. Also the plastic key chain look on the waistband is a nice touch too. I’d definitely recommend these as a versatile pair of shorts that can go with everything.

These are an awesome pair of simple black shorts with wide functionality, updated for 2025. My favorite feature is the (6!) pockets! Their functionality is amazing-- allowing all day use of the shorts and handling tasks on the go. I could walk and move freely in the shorts, and can envision using them equally for the gym as for for an event that transitions from day to night. I didn't experience any chafing through a wide range of movement. Despite their clean design, at times they did feel more like fancy swim trunks than a performance short, owing to the texture of the outer layer of the short. The UV protection and DriFIT benefits far outweigh this minor critique, however. I'm excited to continue to wear the shorts in a variety of settings.

I gave these to my 18-year-old son, thinking they’d be a good fit since he’s into the newer basketball style with shorter-length shorts. While the length was what he typically wears, he felt the overall look leaned more toward dress pants than athletic wear, which didn’t match his style. The material is nice—lightweight and breathable—but the cut and design may be better suited for a more mature look or a different body type. My son is tall and very slender, and these didn’t quite complement his build. For someone with a bit more muscle or looking for a dressier athletic short, they might work better. Overall, this wasn’t a hit for him.
