Kobe VI

Kobe Bryant and Nike unveiled the Zoom Kobe VI in December of 2010. The design for the sixth signature installment kept Kobe’s vision of a low-top performance sneaker, and is a representation of his on-court alter ego, the Black Mamba. The snakeskin upper—aside from the visual narrative connection—was designed to protect against abrasion and increase durability. A dual-layer memory foam sockliner was implemented to conform to the foot for a one-of-a-kind custom fit, and Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot provided additional comfort on court.

Kobe VI Protro

The Kobe VI was revealed in Protro form for the first time in December of 2020, led with the ‘Green Apple’ colorway. Coined by Kobe himself, Protro stands for performance retro and involves enhancing existing silhouettes for the current state of the game. Modernized for the game, this version features an Air Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot and softer foam in the heel for added responsiveness.
