Kobe II

Kobe Bryant and Nike unveiled the Zoom Kobe II in December of 2006. The follow up to Kobe’s introductory shoe featured key modifications to deliver another high-performance experience on the court. The Kobe II kept a full-grain leather upper approach, swapping the prior model’s padded ankle collar for a leather ankle strap. A full-length Zoom Air unit delivered enhanced comfort, while the Phylon midsole was reimagined to allow for range and flexibility. The Herringbone outsole pattern was broken into pods and flex grooves were extended, an early sign of Kobe’s keen interest in improving traction and on-court feel.
