Kobe XI

Kobe Bryant and Nike unveiled the Kobe XI in December of 2015. Arriving during Kobe’s final professional basketball season, this low-cut installment distilled his signature legacy to its essence: high performance, lightweight, responsive and sophisticated design. In a first for Flyknit technology, the upper of the Kobe XI was reinforced with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) in targeted areas for strength while preserving minimal weight. The drop-in midsole brought back the hybrid cushioning system of Zoom Air and Lunarlon from the Kobe X, delivering flexibility and soft responsiveness. The outsole featured a new traction pattern, keeping with Kobe’s longstanding obsession of revolutionizing traction on the court.
