Nike AVA Rover

These tennis shoes are absolutely amazing. They are comfortable right from the start and don’t require any “breaking in”. The upper fabric is thin and flexible, so it doesn’t cause blisters or rub uncomfortably. The sole of this shoe is where the magic is, though! These shoes literally feel like you are walking on clouds. They are cushy and slightly springy, perfect for running/jogging or doing lots of walking. I feel like these shoes are also very supportive- my daughter wore them literally all day at the zoo (without breaking them in first!) and she didn't complain a single time that her feet hurt or were tired. The fun colors and style of these shoes are an added bonus as it’s not very often that you find comfortable, supportive shoes that not only feel great but are also fashionable.

My 7yo loves how comfortable these Nikes are. The first time he wore them, he said it felt like he was walking on marshmallows. Our family can't agree on if the swoosh is pink or orange. He has wider almost flat feet, which makes shoes a challenge at times, especially while he's still figuring out how to tie laces in a way that stays tied. He's able to slip these on and off and keep them tied for regular wear. The material feels durable and able to wipe clean. You can feel the texture of the yellow ribbing on the inside with your hands, but my son says it doesn't bother his feet. There's quite a bit of padding around the ankle and in the tongue of the shoe. My son says the only thing he'd change is maybe a different color, but he really likes the thick yellow sole.

My daughter is extremely sensitive to shoes and clothing, so it's a challenge to find anything for her. I've noticed she often doesn't gravitate toward lace-up shoes, but she's chosen to wear these every day since she got them. She also loves anything that is a bit fashion-forward and loved the colors and unique look of these shoes (plus the tongue of the show is so fun!). Instead of telling me she doesn't want to wear them because her clothes don't match, she now wants to find more clothes that are complementary with the bold colors. She's also been out walking, running, and riding bikes with these on and say they are comfortable for all activity and don't make her feet too hot (since it's currently summer). The only reason I took off a star is that the laces seem a bit short for her to tie a full knot, but we haven't yet explored different lacing techniques. A nice win for a mom of a picky kid!
