Nike Promina

I just received the shoes and the color was different from what I expected — but in a good way. It turned out to be a beautiful light green, and the Nike logo really stands out. Based on other reviews, I decided to size up by 1 size. The width fits perfectly, but the length feels slightly too long. Still, it’s comfortable enough to wear. My main issue is the sole. It’s very stiff and not cushioned at all. I understand that walking shoes shouldn’t be overly soft, but this one feels too hard. When walking, most of the pressure seems to land right in the middle of my foot (midfoot area), and I can clearly feel it with every step , probably due to the shoe shape and support design. I’m worried that long walks might cause discomfort or pain. Even though the shoe has this type of structure, it’s not too difficult to walk in — it’s manageable. Overall, I don’t feel particularly impressed or disappointed. It feels just average. I’m actually glad I didn’t buy the higher-end model that costs almost twice as much, because this style might not be for me. Hopefully, after breaking them in, the sole will soften a bit. If it doesn’t, I don’t think I’ll be able to wear them for long since the midfoot pressure is quite strong.

I really like this walking shoe, but I believe they are not sized correctly. I normally wear a 10M for my typical shoes. With the Promina I bought a size 11 which barely fits my feet. I might even buy an extra 11 1/2 version since it wouldn't be quite as snug a fit as the size 11. The sole is more firm than running shoes which I like since very soft soles seem to bother my knees more. The Promina is a very well constructed walking shoe that should last a long time and is a real bargain at the current price.

These are great shoes for everyday walking at work and very comfortable. I ordered my dad and brother the all black pair and have two others. I brought my daughter a pair of the women.Excellent style for comfort.
