Nike Streakfly 2

The first thing I noticed about the sneakers was how light they were. They also looked fast and sleek. The fit was snug, but in a good way; it was almost sock-like. The laces have these little grooves in them that secure the laces when they are tied. That’s a very nice touch! When I took my first step, I could feel the ZoomX technology, but it was softer than my current Nike Vomero 17s which also have ZoomX. I noticed that I felt extra support from the forefoot all the way to my toes. Now to the plate in the midsole; that was something I had never felt before! I’m not familiar with how the plate works, but I can describe how it felt. It seemed like with every stride I took the plate absorbed the energy I gave it and as soon as my foot was no longer giving energy, the plate gave the energy right back to me. It was an incredible feeling. I really noticed it as I was going uphill. My runs felt easy and fast without much effort. It’s a fun sneaker to run in. There was one con about this really cool sneaker though. There is deep groove that runs almost the length of the outsole where you can see the plate. I had a couple of instances where rocks would get stuck in the groove and I would have to stop running to get them out. This could just be specific to me because of the different types of surfaces I was running on. With this being a road racing sneaker, it may not be meant for everyday use and heavy mileage. It’s sweet spot is 1 milers to the 10k. Overall, this sneaker is awesome!

Excellent running shoes. It feels like there is nothing on my feet. There is a noticeable extra spring in my push off during a run. I have noticed better times in my runs because of it. The arch is a little higher and more narrow than I would typically prefer, but not enough to be uncomfortable or unstable. The material breathes wonderfully and allows for a cooler foot experience all around. I love the color way as it looks sleek and smooth with each step. In the future I may go a half size larger than my typical size just to allow for a little more space through the arch and a little more spread for my toes in the toe box. Overall I am very pleased with this pair of runners.

I've recently began jogging in the mornings on a daily basis, so when I got these shoes, needless to say I was excited to test them out. I was initially impressed by the sleek and lightweight design. The shoe feels incredibly well-built and clearly designed for speed. The upper material is breathable and the overall aesthetic is sharp, the shoes are incredibly light and definitely looks ready to race. However, there was one glaring issue that I have with these that I cannot ignore, and that is the fit. Although I normally wear a Men's size 13, the Streakfly 2 felt at least a full size too small. It was a tight fit from toe to heel, and even after trying to break them in, the snugness made it difficult to truly assess their performance in a meaningful way. Because of this, I wasn’t able to test them out on longer runs as I had hoped. That said, from what I could gather, the foam underfoot felt responsive, and I imagine for the right fit, these would be a great choice for race day or speed workouts. I really appreciated the lightweight construction and aggressive silhouette, but I would strongly recommend sizing up at least half a size, or maybe even a full size if you’re planning on picking up a pair. Overall, I think this is a well-designed performance shoe, but I’d love to see some refinements in fit or at least clearer guidance around sizing in future versions.
