There's definitely things this can do and things that you should avoid doing. Let's start with things to avoid.. treadmills. This is not designed to be worn when using on a treadmill. The shoe is marketed towards trail running not treadmills so don't assume lol. Other than that I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable, grippy, reactive and lightweight these shoes were. I love hiking, but most shoes aren't very comfortable or my knees hurt after the hike. No more knee pain and they are very comfortable. The thick sole really absorbs the shock well and the shoes are comfortable and the insoles are reactive to whatever it is you are doing. The shoes are breathable but they do get a little hot and sweaty, but I would gladly take that trade off for no knee pain. The grip is surprisingly good when going down hill even on some of the parts of the trail that are usually slippery. Your feet do a good job staying in place and secured to the shoe and the toe box is soft, unlike the acg exploraid airs which were so hard that it gave me blisters. I would absolutely recommend this shoe for hiking or trail running. I wear between an 8 and 8.5 and 8.5 was the winner.
Nice shoe. so far so good. Order one size larger.

So far so good. I am usually a size 11, but in this shoe I am a size 12. First time for me to ever get a size 12 so they definitely run small. I really like the loop in the back that helps you put them on. I've only run in them twice, but so far so good. They work well on the trail and I like how they felt going downhill where non-trail shoes can heel slip, these don't. Looking forward to more runs in them.
