- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a very nice hat, with soft collapsible cotton not rough stiff material. It is definitely a that for weather on the cooler side though. The cotton is a bit thick.
