Nike Pegasus 42
Responsive full-length cushioning sculpted to energise an icon.
Responsive cushioning in the Pegasus 42 provides an energised ride for everyday road runs. Experience power in every stride thanks to the propulsive feel of a curved, full-length Air Zoom unit and a ReactX foam midsole. An updated fit gives you more space in the forefoot and toe box.
We sculpted our full-length Air Zoom unit to deliver a propulsive feel and Nike's highest energy return from heel to toe-off.
The ReactX foam is 13% more responsive than previous React technology.
Lightweight mesh is softer and more breathable than earlier iterations, helping your feet stay comfortable.
An updated Waffle outsole delivers traction and flexibility with high-abrasion rubber and flex grooves.
We updated the fit to give you a little extra room at the toes and forefoot compared to the 41.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Changed from another brand and am very satisfied. Just starting running in them but think they will hold up for many miles.

Nike Pegasus 42
The Pegasus 42 is best suited for runners who want one shoe that can do it all. Built for everyday road running, it balances responsiveness with comfort and versatility.
The Pegasus 42 pairs ReactX foam with a curved, full-length Air Zoom unit for soft landings, smooth transitions and a ride that feels responsive and energised.
ReactX foam is a high-performance foam designed to feel soft, durable and 13% more responsive than previous React technology. It compresses on impact, rebounds quickly and helps keep the ride feeling energised underfoot.
The Pegasus 42 delivers a smoother, more energised ride than the Pegasus 41 thanks to its curved, full-length Air Zoom unit and responsive ReactX foam. We also updated the fit, so there's more room at the toes and forefoot compared to the 41.
We made the Pegasus 42 using a different last, also known as a foot-shaped form, than the Pegasus 41. This updated last allows for more room in the forefoot and toe box, helping the Pegasus 42 feel more accommodating while still offering a secure fit through the midfoot.
Responsive cushioning in the Pegasus 42 helps energise every run, from easy miles to daily training.
We sculpted our full-length Air Zoom unit to give it a slight curve. This helps create a springy, forward-moving sensation at toe-off. We also increased the curve of the toe box compared to the Pegasus 41, which allows for greater toe spring.
Lightweight mesh helps air circulate, creating a cool, comfortable feel when runs heat up or the miles start to stack.
High-abrasion rubber on the outsole helps the Pegasus 42 deliver durable traction designed to withstand daily road running.
