All a mirage
Book's game is like a glass of ice-cold water after wandering in the desert. This special design celebrates both Book's love of the outdoors and the figment-of-imagination-like haze he leaves defenders lurching in when he's busy getting buckets.
Book smooth
The outside is pure Book, with a workwear-inspired upper for added durability, while a suede collar and genuine leather across the forefoot provide more reinforcement and a familiar, plush, broken-in feel straight out of the box. The pull tab on the heel is inspired by a book spine, with numbers referencing chapters in an ongoing story.
Stop and go
A top-loaded Air Zoom unit in the heel provides a measure of responsive speed when taking off in the open floor and coming to sudden halts, like a 2-footed Book jump stop and pump fake around the rim.
Plant and pivot
A top-loaded midfoot strong plastic plate helps keep your foot stable when making sudden movements like sharp plants, Book-like pivots and jabs in the post and opportunistic cuts. A strong plastic sidewall cage adds even more stability.
Cut hard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is now my second pair of Book 1s and without a doubt my favorite pair. Didn't buy them initially because I didn't think I was cool enough to pull of the rattlesnake skin swoosh but in person its very subtle. Extremely wearable for Business Casual / Sporty, I wear them to work two to three times a week. Excellent shoe to add to your collection.
