Nike Zoom Skylon 11

NOT FOR RUNNING. STILL FOR RUNNERS.
Runners think about shoes more than most people think about anything. So we handed the Skylon 11 to three of them and asked what they thought of it as part of their everyday routine.

“I like to let my shoes do the talking.”
Australian distance runner and Pulse Running co-founder Jack Rayner has been thinking about Skylons since he wore a pair constantly as a teenager. His style has changed, but one rule hasn’t: choose the shoes first, then keep the rest simple. Give the shoe the last word.

“These go with way more than they should.”
Eunseo Cho already likes mixing technical pieces into her everyday wardrobe, so she’s used to finding combinations that aren’t obvious at first. Skylon took that instinct somewhere new. The sleek shape had her picturing the same shoe with a black mini dress, jeans or even slacks.

“Everyday doesn’t have to mean boring.”
Former track athlete Seolhee Kim used to think of performance gear as a uniform. Now she does almost the opposite: shoes come first, and she builds the look around the details that catch her eye. With Skylon, it was the lower sole, clean shape and bright colorways she already lives in.
