They are very good for school. A bit big for the child, but that's not the problem.

School trainers: Nike Downshifter
Eli age 8 (soon to be 9) Trainers are very soft and easy to put on, helpful when late for sports. Flexible material for feet to breathe. Good for running the 400 meters sports day at school.

Good shoes
Goid shoes, but supossed to be for boys, they are more like for girls I would say, the swoosh mingle in pink
