Nike Alphafly 3 Blueprint
Air Zoom units, light foam and a carbon plate power your speed.
Fine-tuned for marathon speed, the Alphafly 3 helps push you beyond what you thought possible. Three innovative technologies power your run: engineered to the exact specifications of championship athletes, a double dose of Air Zoom units helps launch you into your next step; a full-length carbon-fibre plate helps propel you forwards with ease; and a heel-to-toe ZoomX foam midsole helps keep you fresh from start to 26.2. Time to leave your old personal records in the dust.
Innovation is our inspiration
Bill Bowerman, Nike's original innovator, put our blueprint in place. He inspired the Blueprint Collection design details, like the speckled Swoosh logo and sketches of feet on the insole.
Energy return for your marathon
Two forefoot Air Zoom units combine with ZoomX foam to store and return the energy back to you, powering every step.
Propulsive feeling
A full-length carbon-fibre plate delivers a propulsive sensation that helps you smoothly transition through every stride and tackle turns with confidence.
Cushioned ride
Fully connected ZoomX foam creates an ultralight and cushioned feel, helping you stay fresh and comfortable from mile 1 to 26.2.
What's new?
- Slightly wider carbon-fibre plate for increased stability
- ZoomX foam midsole for smoother transitions
- AtomKnit upper for improved containment and breathability

It’s a great shoe overall, especially in terms of performance. However, the craftsmanship doesn’t seem as solid as before — there are visible glue marks around the front, and the side soles don’t feel as durable or well-finished. That said, it still performs exceptionally well.
Great for speed work, maybe not the most stable for over pronators

I love these shoes for speed work. The first time I ran a 5K in these I beat my personal best by a few minutes. Very impressive. It feels like you are running effortlessly - like little clouds are floating your feet back into the air for the next stride! However, I have tried these on longer distances and they just don’t work for me. I’m an over pronator and need more stability, and I kind of had a feeling these wouldn’t work for that going into buying them. I do not regret buying them though, I love how fast they make me feel for shorter distances! But if you over pronate and are thinking these shoes will be good for marathon training, I might have a backup shoe just in case. I sized up a half size in these and am glad I did, they are still a little tight in the toe box.
