We buy barefoot shoes for our child who is now 2,5 years old. This pair is very flexible, the rubber sole does not slip except for very dusty concrete, but that is not the flaw of the shoes. I find that our son trips far less than in his other barefoot shoes, because he feels his walk better in Nike Swoosh 1. The only problem we have with them is that they can not be closed thightly enough so his feet slip forward in it making a gap between the heel of shoes and feet. Also the closure is facing inwards instead of outwards, which is a nice design feature but bothersome for toddler walk with wide but flat feet. That is the only reason for less than 5 stars. I wish Nike made more healthy shoes like these.
