Comfortable and resistant. Bought for walking all day at work, and my feet do not hurt at all
Lighten up on the upper

First some positives. The Vomero looks fantastic. When this shoe has reached the end of its running life, it will fit in great as a street wear shoe, which I can't say for many of my running shoes. It's well cushioned, but you already knew that. It's also very stable. And the waffle tread on the outsole provides fantastic grip. The downsides are all related. The Vomero is extremely plush, heavy, and warm. First the plush - the upper is downright pillowy. When you lace up, the tongue just spills out, swallowing the laces like a pillow. It's really impossible to overstate how thick and plush the tongue and the rest of the upper is on this shoe. All that pillowy softness adds weight, which is noticeable, especially on long runs. And, as you might expect, breathability is terrible. There's essentially no airflow and your feet will feel really warm unless it's cold outside. I also own a pair of Nike Invincible 3's. The run is just as cushioned (and a bit unstable) with a massive slab of ZoomX foam underfoot. But the upper on the Invincibles is engineered for breathability and weight savings. I don't mind a heavy shoe where the weight is due to the foam underfoot. For me, though, the weight isn't worth it if that weight comes from a plush upper - especially with the problems of breathability. Switching to an engineered, lightweight upper would be a massive improvement. As-is, the Vomero is hard to recommend.
