My thirteen year old son got these shoes and he absouloutly loves them. He said that they are pefect for training fast or racing.You can use them on grass but they really do not feel the same. On the road there is no better shoe to run fast in. My son thinks that Nike has taken the Vapor Fly to the next level.

Full speed
The full-length carbon-fibre Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and is combined with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.
Lighter foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.
Less weight
Engineered mesh on the upper offers improved lightweight comfort while providing a more consistent fit. We reduced the size of the heel and tongue to save even more weight.
Light feel
The midsole bulge at the heel helps reduce weight on the inside of the foot and give you a more stable ride. We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared with the Vaporfly 3.
What's new about the Vaporfly 4?
We made minor tweaks so you can enjoy major gains. We trimmed inessential weight in the upper, midsole and outsole without sacrificing performance.

Sehr gut, aber . . .

Da das Design eine Sache des Geschmackes ist, bewerte ich dieses hier mal nicht. Ein Straßenracer für den Wettkampf, und genau das erfüllt er sehr gut. Das Obermaterial ist gut obwohl vom Vorgänger und Alphafly das ist besser, aber der Schuh ist bis zum Marathon sehr bequem. Die Dämpfung ist etwas flacher als gewohnt aber funktioniert wie immer (Zoom X) spitze. Einzig das besondere Gefühl von Speed wie bei den ersten beiden Versionen fehlt. Beim Marathon kann es sein (je nach Läufer) dass einem die Dämpfung in der Ferse gegen Ende der Distanz ein wenig zu wenig ist. Ansonsten ein Top Racer der gut zu den Füßen ist und für schnelle Wettkämpfe zu empfehlen ist.
