Nike Free technology combines foam in the heel for stability with softer foam in the midsole, giving you the flexibility dynamic workouts demand.
A full-length rubber outsole helps support the foam while adding durability and traction on a variety of surfaces, including turf and concrete.
A webbed lacing system works with an inner sleeve to provide added containment for a secure and snug fit.
Lightweight mesh upper adds breathable comfort.

Metcon 7 are awesome if you do a bit of everything at the gym. They are built so you can lift heavy weights without wobbling, but they are still bendy enough that you can jump around and do cardio without hurting your feet. They look cool, feel like a cloud when you put them on, and act as a perfect "all-in-one" gym shoe.

I’m so disappointed in these shoes. Comparing them to the Metcon 6, the toe box on the 7’s are narrow and the tongue is huge. The laces are incredibly short. I doubt this is a shoe I could work out in every day like I could the Metcon 6. The shoe overall is more bulky and less flexible. This feels more like a lifestyle shoe instead of something you would workout in.
New update is no longer the best workout shoe.

I have been wearing metcon free for HITT/lifting workouts for over 6 years. They have been wonderful. The 7’s have a new added stripe of canvas/rubber for the laces that runs to the sole. Every move that involved a bend at the toe (lunges, bear stance ect) it dug into my foot. This is first version to do this. I am so disappointed.

Training in the wrong shoes is a crime against your progress. Just do the work in the Free Metcon 7.
You need a shoe that moves with you, not against you. Nike Free technology in the forefoot flexes with you to generate power, keep you quick and keep your reps clean.
