- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these recently and right away noticed that the mesh material was pretty thin but didn't think too much of it. After wearing them around the house for maybe the second time, I noticed several pulls (where the material was pulled out, bunched up) all over the front of the shorts, at least 6-7 places. Very disappointed with the quality. Do not recommend.
