Nike Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX

This shoe is amazing and is a must buy! I bought this shoe in early October 2025, and since then it has been amazing the reactX foam is perfect for trails as it’s very soft while giving you great stability which is crucial for trails. The only bad thing about this is that the GORE-TEX isn’t that good and lets some water through. Overall very good would recommend!

Love the look and materials! I have been wearing the Pegasus trail 5 non gortex version for over a year and it is one of my favorite shoes, worked part time doing a delivery gig where I was on my feet for 10 hours constantly getting in and out of a truck and they are amazing. I bought these assuming that would all carry over with the addition of the weather proofing. They don’t even feel like the same shoe, outside of the sole. The upper fits extremely tight compared to the regular version and the heel lock is non existent, constantly feels as if your foot is going to slip out because of the material choice as well as the way they lowered the heel cup. This shoe looks awesome, they used great materials, and the reactX foam is one of my favorite all time sole materials. They dropped the ball big time with the changes they made though and these things need to be addressed on the next version.

I have run trails for several years in the Pegasus models, but the Pegasus 5 has fit issues that I've not experienced before. The heel hold in the 5 is insufficient and does not match the earlier models. The lacing system does not offer fit flexibility thus eliminating the ability to micro adjust when needed. Bring back the Pegasus 3 platform and last - then work from there.
