Nike Ava X

My first impression of these shoes: they made me think of water shoes. They are very breathable and the insole is comfortable. With that said, the right shoe is slightly smaller than the left when I measured them. This made the right tighter and a little more uncomfortable. (The tags show that they are the same size.) Also, the tongue and heel dig in after wearing and walking in them for awhile. Being that the shoes are breathable, they also show your sock color underneath, so keep that in mind. I personally like a more solid, less "packable" shoe that gives my feet and ankles a better fit, stability and comfort while walking and running. I like the heavier Nikes better. But anyone looking for less weight and airy, these are for you.

The Nike Ava X is easily one of the lightest sneakers I’ve worn. The Cushlon 3.0 midsole offers great low-profile cushioning that holds up really well for all-day walking and light gym sessions. The breathable upper keeps your feet cool, and the minimalist aesthetic looks clean with almost any casual or athletic outfit. A small heads-up: The fit can be a bit snug/narrow around the upper when you first slip them on. If you have wider feet or like a little extra room, I’d recommend going half a size up. Overall, a solid, comfortable daily shoe!

The very first thing I noticed about these shoes is just how light weight they are - my husband brought the package in and thought it was empty. I took my photos without socks to show how light and breathable they are - you can see my toes right through the fabric! I also appreciate how easy these will be to clean - the “fabric” is more plastic like or nylon, not actually fabric. They have two sets of holes for laces, a nice padding on the back of the heel, and the tongue is wide and wraps nicely around the ankle. My only suggestion is to pay attention to the size chart, as these run small, so order a half size up. Overall, these shoes are comfortable, lightweight and stylish - you can go from running errands to the gym seamlessly.
