Review of road running shoes
Jon
Overall, the shoes are comfortable, and I could see individuals that do longer distances appreciate them. I do like the cloth of the shoe itself (part of shoe that wraps the foot). I do considerate It comfortable and light, and breathable, however it to me personally is a little too flimsy and I would prefer it to be a little more sturdy and more constructed with material to support your ankle and Achilles area. I noticed if I did land on any uneven cement that because of the lack of stability in the wrapping of the ankle and Achilles area, I could also see how someone might sprain their ankle or twist. Their ankle relatively easy if they’re not careful. For the sole of the shoe itself, I do like how cushioned it is however, I did notice when I would run or try to sprint. It was almost as if the sole was too soft and it was not firm enough to give me the ability to bounce back as I’m running and my feet are hitting the ground. Best analogy/example I can think of is I prefer my soles to be soft but also a little bit more firm to give me that bounce back as I’m running off the pavement. But I also noticed for me, especially playing soccer all of my life and two years ago tearing my ACL, I did notice running with these shoes I felt a little bit more pressure on my knee because of the lack of shock absorbent on these shoes. Like I said, I think having a little bit firmer of a sole of these shoes would’ve helped with that as well as helped with my running.
