He loved his xmas gift

Like the look of them so I bought these with the intention of using them for clinical rotations in the hospital. Its got air cushioning AND react foam, how could these not be the ultimate in comfort, with style to top it off. Well unfortunately, the combination of react foam with the 270 Air Max unit just does not work with this configuration. The Air unit is Very tall, which causes your heel to feel raised and gives you a sensation of being leaned forward which I could already tell would bother my lower back over long hours standing. It is also Rock Hard somehow and does not activate at all when stepped on. This makes the heel toe transition very clunky, your whole foot slaps the ground at the same time rather than a nice rolling action. Maybe this is because the React foam is so soft that you dont have enough pressure to really get into the Air unit, I dont know, but I am a tall athletic 235 lbs and even my size 15 foot couldn't get it to activate. Look at the product photo of the guy standing on the backs of his heels, this is literally what you have to do to activate it. 2 stars because the look is pretty cool, and someone might be buying it for style or squat workouts rather than all day function.
