I’ve worn a lot of different Nike silhouettes over the years, and I mean it when I say the Nike Vomero Plus is easily the MOST COMFORTABLE sneaker I have ever put on my feet—and it’s not particularly close. I wore them for the first time when I knew I was going to be on my feet for a good portion of the day, and they felt amazing! They are unbelievably lightweight, and the chunky foam midsole is so soft under foot, giving me incredible cushioning. I’m not a serious runner by any stretch, but I went for a short jog throughout my neighborhood, and these delivered in every capacity! I’ve never really worn proper “running shoes” before, and now I have something that I can take anytime I’m going for a light run or hitting the treadmill. The mesh upper also has a lot of flexibility without feeling flimsy; I do wonder how the sneakers will hold up with extensive wear, especially for avid runners, but I didn’t see any issues after a full day on foot, so I have no doubt they’ll be perfect for my use. As for the design, I love how bright these are in the Orange Pulse and Hot Lava colorway. The black accents help bring out the vibrancy of the sneaker, and as somebody who has worn plenty of interesting models and colorful kicks, I enjoyed how they looked on me. I can understand how they might not be for everybody, so hopefully they make more neutral color options. Plus, I just want another pair in a more minimalist style so I can have a diverse rotation of Vomero Plus styles to choose from. The comfort is just THAT good. If you’re wondering about the fit, I went true-to-size, and they were perfect. No heel slippage, no tightness or pinching anywhere, just pure comfort.

Nike has introduced a new tiering system with their three main Daily Trainer lines; the Vomero, Pegasus and Structure. The Vomero is known for its neutral CUSHIONED ride. The Vomero Plus is the second tier in Nike’s Vomero line-up. It continues its legacy and ventures off into new territory, as it’s first one with FULL ZOOMX cushioning. FIT: TRUE TO SIZE. I opted for the usual size I opt for Nike, and the Vomero Plus does not deviate, so stick with your regular size. DESIGN: The Vomero Plus appears to pay homage to the ICONIC Air Max 97 with the wave-like design on the upper. As the first Vomero with FULL ZOOMX cushioning, the ZOOMX on the midsole is the highlighted CHUNK. There are also small reflective details for visibility in dark areas. The reflective logo on the outsole lip is actually a nice detail. The laces are secured and stable in a Flywire-like system but are positioned internally just above the tongue area. You can barely see the ends of the Flywire. This system does a superb job at containing my feet throughout my runs. FABRIC: The Vomero Plus’ upper is constructed of different materials. The predominant material is something reminiscent of Vaporweave but softer. I found it a pleasure to run in. There were no hotspots. The heel padding is plush just like the ride you would expect from a Vomero trainer. RIDE: After about running ~60 miles in the Vomero Plus, I am A HUGE FAN! I have not had a Nike solidify a spot in my running rotation in a LONG TIME. Even though I have WIDE CATALOG of trainers to choose from, I find myself reaching for the Vomero Plus almost every time! The ZOOMX in the Vomero Plus is not the same as you would feel in the Nike’s elite racing footwear, but it still exceeded my expectations. This trainer is meant for those recovery, slow and daily miles; however, not only does it excel at those type of runs, it also has the ability to push the pace comfortably even without a propulsive component in a carbon fiber plate or a Zoom Air unit(s). The versatility of the Vomero Plus makes it an easy choice over other trainers that I have. I find myself really enjoying my run for the sensation after every stride. LIKED THE MOST: The Vomero Plus really shines is all categories that I look for in a daily trainer. It looks amazing, the materials feel plush, and, most importantly, it performs amazingly well for me! To narrow it down to what I liked the MOST is how the Vomero Plus performed during my runs! It does what it’s supposed to do with easy runs, recovery runs and daily at an A1 level. AND it unexpectedly handles faster paces really well! CHANGES: One minor critique that I have is that the high contact areas on the outsole wore down quicker than I expected. Perhaps using a different compound for the outsole would prevent the accelerated breakdown. I would also prefer Nike not to use the nubs on the outsole. CLOSING: Overall, Nike has a CLEAR winning product in the Vomero Plus. It really checks off (get it?) all the boxes when I consider purchasing a running trainer; it looks good, it’s constructed of plush materials and its ride makes running an absolute JOY! Not only that, it’s the first Nike in a LONG TIME to clinch a position in my running rotation as my primary daily trainer! BRAVO(mero) Nike! You are so back!

The Nike Vomero Plus is incredibly comfortable and provides all the support needed for a good run at the gym or at home. This shoe is well-made and sturdy and has held up like new after 8 days of cardio, showing minimal wear and tear and feeling just as comfortable as the day I put them on . The extra padding throughout the sneaker ensures a comfortable feel as you run for longevity or speed. The plush fabric feels very luxurious and I love the bright orange color. One of my favorite features is the zoomx sole that leaves every step feeling as comfortable as when you started even when you are finished with your workout. The one complaint I have is that the sidewalls do feel a little tight, but I blame that on wearing the shoes tighter and finding a good comfortable fit for when I was running for endurance purposes. Overall, this is a comfortable shoe that allows me to run for long distances and still feel comfortable after the run is over and done with. The shoe even prompted me to try more cardio because the comfort level and I frequently experience either leg or back pain after continuous cardio days and this shoe has made it so none of that has even occurred. A great running shoe that I will be using for years to come.
