Nike Tech Windrunner

It hasn’t been jacket weather in the Midwest lately but last Friday’s golf round anticipated some rain so I took the jacket out for some rainy golf. The jacket held up very well against a light, constant rain for a little over an hour. The jacket didn’t bother my golf swing either, that’s usually a dealbreaker when it comes to jackets on golf courses. Only minor issue was the rope for the main zipper came off really easily, just need to put it back on.

The Nike Tech Windrunner jacket is very lightweight and breathable. It moves with my body while running without restriction. This helps keep me just the right amount of warm on cool summer morning runs. The gray camo design is very stylish without being super bright or flashy. The waistband has an adjustable drawstring if you like it to stay snug or you can loosen it way up so that you don’t feel it at all. The hood also has a drawstring if you need to keep your head dry or ears warm. There are some cool subtle embroidered logos throughout. Holes in the armpits and back for breathability.

I started to run a little bit earlier in the mornings, so I needed to get something lighter than what I was used to. Now that it's getting a little warmer in the summer time, this one does work for me. The jacket it self, feels a little stiff at first but just needs to worn in a little. I do like the weight of the jacket as a runner, it's heavy enough to feel the protection and light enough to workout with. My favorite part of the jacket is the ventilation holes in the front and back. On a cool night run, I could feel the air getting inside and feeling food while running. The zippers and pockets were fine, I had a phone inside safely and secured even while running. The fit itself, when all zipped up, felt good not too tight while running and not too loose when relaxing. I picked the design itself because I do like dark colors, and I feel like I can still go out to other places without changing it. Overall I would definitely recommend this jacket for casual use and workouts.
