I am a 32 year old mother of two who trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with my children, so function is important to me as is fashion (I’m the cool mom) in class. These shorts are comfortable, stylish and functional for a cool summer. I’ve trained for a Jiu Jitsu competition so I have lost some weight and these still fit very well, although they do have belt loops so if you need a tighter fit that is an option. One thing I felt was an issue is they do fit loose around your thighs so try them on, squat and move around before leaving your house to determine what your outfit with them will be. The material washes well, I accidentally over sprayed some mosquito spray onto the shorts and they stained. I was concerned it would be permanent, but one quick wash and the stains came right out.

These retro inspired shorts fit great and offer comfort and style. Perfect with a tshirt or tank, you can dress these up for down for extra versatility. The dark navy color and contrast black stripe add to the style.

These shorts run shorter than expected, even accounting for the listed 2” inseam. The fit and feel are more like a slightly looser pair of board shorts rather than a soft athletic short. They’re not the most comfortable for sitting since they tend to ride up, so I’d consider these more of a standing only item than an all day wear piece.
