The GT Hustle Academy really impressed me on court. The fit is snug without being restrictive, giving me a locked-in feel that helps with quick cuts and transitions. The design is sleek yet performance-driven, with a low-to-the-ground build that makes me feel faster and more agile. The fabric and materials are lightweight but still supportive, keeping my feet cool during long runs up and down the floor. What I liked most was the cushioning—it strikes the perfect balance between comfort and responsiveness, letting me stay explosive without feeling weighed down. Honestly, I wouldn’t change much; it’s a great shoe for players who rely on speed, agility, and all-day comfort.

The G.T. Hustle Academy Basketball Shoes, are so underrated. At first glance of the shoes, I thought they were workout shoes and not a basketball shoe. The quality of the shoes are super light weight and it does not feel bad at all. From my experience of wearing the shoes, from the basketball to the gym I give this shoe a 4 out of 5 for sure. On the court, the shoes make you feel like you don’t have a heavy shoe which helps make you move and not as much weight to the feet. At the gym, it very versatile and same feeling, feeling like I’m wearing socks and not shoes. The design of the shoe is very unique and the color way as well. I do like the grayish, knit design, doesn’t make it look like all the other basketball shoes which are made out of all rubber. I would recommend to others about this shoe, which can potentially help those who are looking for a comfortable basketball shoe.

#productsprovidedbynikeAn Okayish Budget Basketball Shoe
vauz567 - 16 Sept 2025
At first glance, the GT Hustle Academy reminds me of the Free RN Flyknit RN running shoes from the late 2010s. The shoe does use some flyknit type material, but it feels more synthetic rather than fabricy. It does seem durable and does not look like it will be prone to tears. Now for the downsides. This sneaker offers non-existent cushioning at all. I may be used to the air unit in the KDs and other sneakers, but I definitely felt sore after an hour of run. The foam cushioning used seems to be of the cheaper kind, and this could be a big detractor for serious players. The fit is a little snugger than my liking, but not overly tight. Traction-wise, it is okay, but with the increased amount of cuts and movement I made, I did start to feel the difference compared to my other pairs. In all, I think this is a very budget friendly model, but if you can find other higher-end price down to a similar or slightly higher price tag, it is worth the investment.
