My new favorites for outdoors
Doughnut
I'm not a hardcore hiker, but I definitely hike for fun often. I live in an area with lots of trails, ranging from well marked and maintained to "I'm going to fall in this creek, aren't I?" so good shoes with grip are a must. These shoes feel awkward on paved ground, but are EXCELLENT on dirt. I first wore them after a week of rain, but even in the mud I was able to walk with ease on big inclines. Plus, they're really comfortable and have tons of cushioning. These feel true to size, but I have narrow feet so they were a little roomy-- it wasn't bad, but I could have probably gone half a size down. The back sits high up on the ankle, which didn't bother me in long socks, but might cause issues with no-shows. I probably won't be turning heads with theses sneakers, but what they lack in style they make up for in function. Not sure about how I feel about the lightweight mesh on top, but it's definitely breathable and honestly, that's what matters most. Will I be wearing these to the gym or to run errands? Absolutely not-- but I WILL be bringing these out in the woods, for sure.
