How do I change my NRC App settings?
Maybe you prefer kilometres to miles, running indoors to avoid the whims of the forecast, or having that perfectly curated playlist to help you get through your run.
Whatever your preferences are, it's easy to change your settings in the Nike Run Club App. We want you to enjoy your next run, even if that means using a treadmill. We kid, there's nothing wrong with treadmills.
Changing your in-run or profile settings is simple. See what you can customise in the NRC App below.
Profile Settings
Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen, then tap "Settings" to access and change your profile settings. Here's what you can change:
- Nike Member profile email
- About you (height and weight
- Units of measure (kilometres or miles)
- Connected NRC partners
- Privacy choices

Android and iOS Devices
Whether you're on an Android or iOS device, tapping on the "Gear" icon allows to customise the following fields:
- Indoor/outdoor: select "Indoor" if you're on a treadmill or knocking out reps on an indoor track. For outdoor runs, make sure you enable location services to track your run. NRC uses your device's GPS and accelerometer to track your outside run.
- Auto-Pause: when enabled, your run will automatically pause when you stop and resume when you start moving again. If it's not enabled, you'll need to manually pause your run.
- Audio feedback: get run metric updates without distractions by enabling feedback. Not only can you choose from time, distance or pace updates; you can also choose their frequency. And if you need a little encouragement, share your run with your NRC friends and allow them to cheer you on by setting your privacy to "public" or "social" and enabling Cheers.
- Countdown: you can turn on a countdown of three, six or nine seconds to help you get in the zone for your run. Additionally, you can have your device lock automatically, so you don't need to mess with it.
- Orientation: whether you're a fan of a portrait or landscape, you can change your in-run screen to your liking. You can also choose between displaying your current or average pace.
- Heart rate: track your level of effort by connecting a heart rate monitor by following the in-app instructions.
Apple Watch
From the main run screen, tap the "Settings" icon to change the following settings below. You can also listen to music during your NRC run.

Android Wear watches
To change your settings, swipe down and tap the "Settings" icon. Besides choosing between indoor/outdoor tracking and Auto-Pause options, you can also change the following:
- Metrics: choose to display your current pace or your run's average pace.
- Voiceover: this feature is only available for watches with a speaker.
- Heart rate: record your heart rate.
- Log out: log out of the NRC App.

Can I change the NRC App's language setting?
The NRC App defaults to your device's default language. If you'd like to use a different language, you'll need to adjust your device's settings. NRC is available in the following languages:
