How This Was Made
- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment.
- In addition to reducing waste, recycled polyester produces up to 30% lower carbon emissions than virgin polyester. Nike diverts an average of 1 billion plastic bottles annually from landfill and waterways.

Disappointed with Fabric Quality Compared to Past Nike Pro

I really miss the Nike Pro products from the 2020s — they had reinforced, resistant seams and sturdy elastic waistbands. In the past, I had leggings where the same issue happened, and now with these shorts, after just two months, the elastic fibers are already poking out from the waistband fabric. That’s not supposed to happen, especially in a line made for demanding sports like cross-training. I always wash my Nike Pro gear according to the label instructions, so this is not a care issue. I was expecting the durability and compression Nike Pro used to deliver, but unfortunately in recent years I’ve been disappointed with the quality of the fabric in both leggings and shorts Pro models. The elastic band fibers come loose, and it feels like the waistband loses its compression far too quickly
